According to a Ford Engineer you will loose alittle less than1MPG for every hunderd pounds you put on your truck.
That seems about right. I have added about 600 pounds to my truck with all the armor and addons.
I used to get around 20 MPG, Stock. Now I'm getting 15MPG. This is why I no longer use it as a daily driver.
Yea I know they have been going up and down for the past few days, but my picts still show, at least I can see them here.

Is that similar to an old (drag-strip) rule of thumb that for every extra 100 pounds, you are loosing 1/10 sec. in the 1/4 mile? I don't know how true it is (it must depend on other factors). But your post reminded me that a buddy once told me that.
Thanks for the info on the Ramsey/Waag guard. I am in the preliminary market (I'm researching while I work out some funds for the next couple months) for a front guard... I like the WAAG's and the Manik, as well as the Go-Rhino Sumatra.... I just need help from those who own them and use them as a 'guard' and not a pretty add-on to make their X into a trendy, unused Range Rover.
