skid plates

I have a 99 explorer xlt and i just want o know the spots oon my truck were skid plates are a thing i need.... I have a low budget. Therefore i need cheap plates. Thanks for your guys help later. Brodie

Brodie; Look for a t-case skid-plate and a gas-tank skid plate. Both of them are around $160 or so new from Ford. But I would just contact or search the local junk-yards and look for them that way. Can't get much more affordable than that, and a lot of 'yards don't even list them in their system so you may have to find them yourself. Good luck.

Those are the big ones I would do first, then I would look into getting a front skidplate made that covers the bottom of the front diffy and a skid plate for the rear one too.
