Does anybody have this lift with the springs and add-a-leafs? I was just wondering if yours rides as crappy as mine.
Mine jerks from side to side sometimes and it won't drive straight sometimes(tried an allignment). I haven't replaced any susupension parts, maybe I should.
But I was just wondering what you all have done to your rides to make it ride better or if yours rides pretty good.

rides like a lifted car to me...

the add-a-leaf makes it a lot more bumpy... replace it with warrior shackles.

You haven't replaced the ball joints or radius arms or anything? Mine really doesn't ride anything like a car. I have the Rancho 5000, too.
Why i mine so bad?!
What size tires do you have? I have 31x11.50 Mickey Thompsons with ten inch rims.

i got rancho rs5000s, its a kinda ruff ride, but i like it. I actually got my radius arm bushings, and ball joints replaced when i got alignment after the lift.

That must be it then, I have thought about replacing the ball joints because, isn't it true that you can't get your explorer alligned if the ball joints are worn out?
How much for the balljoints to be replaced?
I want to get mine to ride alot better b/c it gets annoying to drive sometimes.

hey- well i mean its always gonna try like its a lifted truck... its got more stiff coils up front. I would seriously think about replacing the add a leaf, with warrior shackles in the back. They cost$50 and you could sell your add a leaf thats whatIm doing next week. As for ball joints, when I took it to get aligned, my dad said go ahead and do those, and the radius arm bushings.. and he payed for them. so im not sure on a price.

Replace the bushings in the front and rear..The energy Suspension kit runs around $125..I have the 2" SJ and 2" BL w/ 5000's and 31x10.5 bfg's on the stock wheel..It drives better then it ever did stock..You can check mine out at either link in my signature..

I also want to mention that my front tires are getting worn out on the inside faster than the rest of the tire.

Does this have to do with the ball joints being worn?
I have had the toe in adjusted so I don't think that is the problem.
