Followed the threads on this forum concerning the thump you hear when slowing down. Dropped it off at the Ford dealer to grease the slip yoke. The work performed was written up as ... "Removed rear driveshaft and greased slipjoint as per customer request".

After the service I still get the thump and they say you may need a new driveshaft. Am I getting the shaft? Or is there a break-in period after the grease?

No break-in period. It should be an immediate difference when you stop, if a dry slip yoke was indeed your truck's problem. Maybe that wasn't the problem...

Make SURE they actually DID the work you requested. I know it sounds bad, but there have been dealerships or independents who have simply not done the work they said they did.

Finally, maybe the u-joints need replacing. If you haven't hit the driveshaft on anything, and there's no mud or debris stuck on it, it's hard for the driveshaft itself to get that out-of-balance. The u-joints however can and do wear out...

At first I thoght they didn't grease it since they used the same plastic tie wrap around the boot I did the last time I took the oe clamp off. A closer look I could see they used blue grease. They said they didn't have the clamps in stock.

The driveshaft is clean, no off roading only local roads. Is there any way to check if the u joints are worn?

with the vehicle in park and shut off climb under the truck and grab the drive shaft with both hands and turn back and forth this will not only check the u joints butmay reveal the noise and location better since you are under the truck good luck

I like to jack up the rear wheels, and put my truck in neutral. If I put it in park I can't turn the driveshaft much.

Get under there and try to move the driveshaft left and right, up and down. It should turn, but not move any other direction much.
