Sludge in the engine coolant reservoir

good morning

I put some bar leak 2 months ago because of a small leak of the cooling liquid
And today i saw a black sludge in the engine coolant reservoir !

Help ?
Do i have to do something ?

Sounds normal if you use that stuff, as long as you don't overheat.
Which bars product did you use?
It seems to work very well in some cases, a bit YMMV. I know cases where it lasted 100K miles, others overheated around the block. Depends also on the condition of your cooling system, and the amount you use. One or two servings may be ok, but there are desperate people who dump in 10 and it clogs everything. Best thing is to fix the repair, unless you don't care about the truck.
 






Likely the stop leak, which I used K-Seal as I was told by another forum member in my 01 following a slight leak I never could find, seems to work better than most, but ideally, you should fix the leak.
 






The black gunk in you coolant reservoir is the Bars Leak Stop.
