Hehe, I just had another encounter. This one was very nice. First off its been raining here. This was a race from a dig on the wet street. This was a perfect race... It was prob the nicest WRX I have ever seen. White, 4 door, had the big tall scoop up front, much taller then stock and it said Pro something on the side. A buddy told me thats like the upgraded top of the line STI's or something done from factory. I could see the exhaust on it etc, it was not stock at all, this car was screaming tuner car, young guy about 25.
Coast was clear and we were side by side at a light, it was night already, this just happened about 2 hours ago. I looked over and said, dam this I have to race, all wheel drive and its wet out, the battle of the fittest here. So I quickly rev my motor, he heard me for sure. We were waiting for the light to turn green, it turns green and I jump on it, felt two tires BARELY lose grip and then the traction control quickly took over and blasted out. I'm not sure if he tried racing or not... So I can't say I beat him.
So here we are driving down the road all alone, we were both being responsible and went the speed limit. We could race another day. As we are about to cross a light, it turns yellow.... he pretty much braked fast as he could have easily went under the yellow. I said... ok its on. NICE!!!!
We line up... I could hear his motor revved up, heres ****ed and ready to fly... This to me was the ultimate race because we are both 4x4, well I am hes awd, but you get the pic. I get on the stall to just about 1,500k, the light turned green, I STOMP on the gas and launch like a sun of a you know what, I MURDERED him. Out of the hole I instantly took about 1.5-2 cars in front, I was watching in my rear view mirror and he was getting farther and farther, I stayed on the gas to see when he would stop my momentum, I looked down and I was doing about 85mph and he was way back. I would say about 5 or 6 cars, he finally let off and so did I.
The guy was very cool. He rolled down his window when we came to the next stop and gave me a big smile and a thumbs up. I took a pic of the back of his car. Ill post it later. I almost got a shot of the side but the light turned green, we honked at each other and went on our ways.
From the outcome of the race I think he did try the first time also, but maybe he didn't really try TO hard as he thought whats this dam X thinking. He prob got on the gas a little thinking it was enough but since I blasted out he prob tripped. So the next race he said.... pinks baby.
My X's traction control part time 4x4 is an absolute murdered on the street. His awd was prob spinning all four times as my hooked like on rails.
