95 explorer expedition
hi i just bought a 95 explorer off my kid have 2 small problems .the lights in my dash that display the fuel and temp gage are out and wondering is there an easy way to get at them without taking the dash apart?and ive changed the water gage sensor but it still doesnt registar any suggestions? had the truck since the summer and all at once the front end just self destructed like the bearings tie rods and the rack.any other surprizes i can expect from the money pit here?never the less i love the truck cause i travel up north in the winter....

Sorry, dash light replcement will require pulling the gauge cluster. It's not really hard; just take your time so nothing gets broken in the process. While you're in there you can test that temp gauge.

If you've replaced bearing and ball joints the front should be good for many miles. Might want to check tie rod ends though.

If you have an auto tranny baby the hell out of it. It's typically a costly repair.

chh777.....thanks for the info.yea ive done the inner and outer tie rods+wheel bearings and the rack the only good part still is the king pins..........iam about to change the fluid +filter for tranny.mechanic now says the crappy milage and sluggish response is due to my cat converters plugging up.boy 140 kms or 80-something thousand miles seems kind of early but then again kid didnt do much pm on truck but didnt beat it either is this normal for these?
