Small thump or pop in morning.

Hello everyone. Just looking for some advice on what a small thump or pop might be when I move the Explorer in the morning. It almost feels as if the brakes were stuck and release fully once moving. 2017 Explorer with 11,000 miles. This was a minor issue until last night when it sounded like I was dragging metal across the parking lot. I pulled forward, heard a click and everything returned to normal. Thanks for any help.

The Explorer does an ABS self check when started up and put in motion; Low Speed Clunk
From what you describe, it seems that may not be what you are experiencing. It sounds like your brakes might be dragging; 2011-2015 Ford Explorer: Are Your Rear Brakes Dragging... Most Likely Yes!
