smoke from steering column

every once and awhile i get a puff of smoke or 2 from the steering column area .it comes up thru the flasher switch hole (2000 ex sport) . i know i have read about an issue like this before .
was there ever a recall??
now every once and awhile my right turn indicator light will glow a little after a start. doesnt do it all the time
i have seen this smoke many times over the years though .i have this sport ten years now .

There's no recall. You need a new multifunction switch.

What he said. They cost around $70 at a parts store (they call it the dimmer switch), maybe half that ordered online. Not hard to replace - do a search.
