I'm not sure if I'm going to make it. I have to see what Suzanne wants to do this weekend. You're driving clear from Fresno RockRanger???

I just havent changed my location yet. I am living down in Julian now. However a few weeks ago I did drive up to truckee reno lake tahoe area for a 3 day rock crawl comp.

Website says the comp is on the 18-19 which is fri and sat...if thats true i might go sat.

Ive asked a few people about that as well and they said friday sat. Ill be there saturday. I think friday might just be registration and sat is when all the compitioins are.

I went last year. It's cool, but no no HUGE event. THe course is like REALLY small that someone built on their land. I wouldn't go if I had to drive more then 2 hours, unless we get a bunch of us guys together, that may be fun, then we meet everyone on here. I'll try to go on Sat.

I was expecting to see a picture of Ranger X in there somewhere. Didn't he enter? I'm sure he would have made it through the obstacle course with all of mods and all of the tire that he's running. We'll have to drop some $$ in the pot for him, and sponsor him for next year!

We had an all-Ranger showing today- me, DB_1, and RockRanger with his GF Tracy.
Here's a pic of the most interesting vehicle there. Built by All-Pro Offroad, who mainly do Toyota stuff, this is a single seat tube buggy with F+R 9" axles, 37" BFG Krawlers, and a VW engine. It climbs like a spider on crack! For a better closeup, check DB_1's photo link. And check out that punkin offset, the right side shaft is about 3" long!

Nice pics guys! That VW buggy is cool. I saw it compete in the supercrawl in farmington. Did Lance and Mike compete in this event?

Lance and mike didnt compete to small of an event. There were 8 registered rigs for the unlimited class. One decided not to run agter looking at the coarse (smart move) and of the 7 that did run EVERYONE of them broke before the completed there run. Broken axles broken links and even a broken coil over. I guess in the finals teh purple jeep with volvo axles completed the run in 7 minutes and change.

I would defently think about competing however from reading the rules because I run a 91 ranger axle up front and a 87 broncoII rear and may swap in n 85 ranger auto that puts me in the Modified class, and because I bobbed the bed that would put me in Unlimited class. But on the other hand i dont need a roll cage to compete in any of the classes There is no way i could even be close to competitive in modified or pro. Maybe this is why they didnt fill any of the fields.

They have another even in january I may go to just wish I could compete.
