So I did the nasty with a lamp post tonight...

Well, I think I've done one of the stupidest things in my life a couple of hours ago. I went back to work to take care of some personal things and I think I was way too tired. My B-3000 was the only vehicle in the lot and there was only one lamp post in the middle of the lot with a strong concrete base. Wouldn't you know it, as I backed out, I swear that lamp post came running toward me. I nailed the concrete base really hard. The bumper is twisted up, the tailgate is bowed and won't open anymore, the left corner is crushed and the left side of the box is bowed out behind the wheel. Has anyone else done something this stupid with their Ranger/B-Series and how much can this set me back? It looks like a nasty thing to fix. Should I start looking for a new box or should I get a body shop to fix the damage? I'm so ticked...not an expense I needed right now...

I did that with my explorer, cept it was an empty parking lot with a truck in it.. only truck in the lot.. was backing 0ut.. idk wtf happened... left tail light busted, the hatch wouldn't open.. quarter panel was kinda beat up and my bumper was twisted.

PISSED ME OFF! omg...

I was shaken up and angry when it happened, but I can laugh about it now...did you end up fixing your x and how much did it cost to fix (I realize that varies a lot)?

1-2k in repairs...

I was flippin out, wanted to break my cell phone into little pieces.. wanted to break my window... god.. I was so pissed... it was good I had someone with me though.. I wouldn't have known what to do. It was my first accident.

that sux bout ur rides rd and storlied i remember i was with my gf i was going in reverse and stupid people put a dumpster right in the middle of my way and bang i hit my left tailight and it broke so i had to get a brand new one i forgot how much it was but stupid guys shouldnt have put the dumpster in the middle of my way

thank god my latch didnt break or anything just my tailight broke. But now i got it fixed its back to normal again.

I would take it to a body shop, see what they suggest needs to be done, then see if you can get it done cheaper yourself. My guess is it will be a pretty expensive fix, if the box is bent up that bad.

Thanks guys...I got on the horn this morning to try to locate some parts and I'll be going to the body shop later.

Storlied: that is some nasty hit....mine is similar but pushed in quite a bit more....I'll post some pics later

Yea, it was pretty bad. The tail light I have in isn't perfect, you can tell something happened if you look closely at it.
