Thanks how much did all that run ya? the front and the back

Yeah, this is kinda what I am trying to do. 5.5" lift to run 33 x 10.5 BFG MT.

SOA using Mountain Offroad perches with the 5.5 coils in frt. If you have a chance to answer some of MY questions please go comment on my posting "91 XLT 4" lift"......as you can see I opted for the 5.5 - 6" now.

Ya'll talked me into it I suppose!

is that some kinda setup that ya'll are BOTH from the same town / city and BOTH have 63 posts?

Sounds fishy to me..........

something smells fishy

Yeah it sounds kinda fishy. But to tell the truth i dont even know the other guy in oakharbor.I just move up here from florida. As a matter of fact my truck is in a down status thanx to the old a4ld tranny that loves to spew fluid on the ground.(Dont try to drive up an avalanche youll just sink and burn up your tranny.)

I'll keep that in mind........

Another thing that sounds wierd is this other dude from Oak-whatever is giving me ADVICE on doing my mods when he is asking similar questions about his! WTF?!?!

Is he unsure on how and what to do to his but telling me for sure how to do mine? I guess that would make me the guine-pig eh?

Here is mine when I had the Skyjacker 5.5" and SOA. The tires are 33x12.5 Mud Kings (slightly worn).

that is absolutely beeeeee-u-tee-full!

Me lik-ie!

Thanks Lessdirty!

Sometimes I wish it were still at that height. My wife could get in and out of it a lot easier. Beleive it or not, I used to tow that camper setting next to it. Now with 35's it doesn't have quite the torque it needs for a good takeoff without straining the clutch. I think 4.88 gears would of been better if I would have known I was eventually going with 35"s. For towing purposes that is!

hey man, do you have a 3" body in that pic as stated in your sig?

Maybe having it too tall for the wife is a good thing....no? Nah honey, you can't borrow the truck, you can't even get in it......

I have Skyjacker 5.5 front springs with F-150 spacers and rear SOA with Warrior shackels giving 7" suspension lift. I have a 1" body lift on top of that. Theres my 8" lift

so in the picture that I was looking at was 8" of lift, darn, I was hoping that was what mine would look like after 5.5".

Either way yours looks good. Another thing I worry about, is I understand that after too much lift, the angles on your drive train become ockward and you increase you chances of breaking stuff.......have you had this problem?

No problems yet. I did have to have my rear driveshaft lengthened about 3" since mine is a 2 door. With a SOA you set the angle when you weld the perches on. Mine was actually off a bit. Installed a 4 degree shim and fixed that.

yeah, some other dudes were saying, "just weld it parallel to the bottom bracket." Yeah right!

That sounds a bit too redneck for me even! I don't know what angle is optimal here but I will prob. aim for -3 degrees to 0 degrees if I can get it. Won't know till I try it.......anymore than -3 is too hard on parts and preloading the rear "some" will aide in traction.

I'll report later on what I find.

I recommend setting the front up first so you can get a good idea where it needs to be.

great idea......I would have seriously NOT thought about that.
