solid axle swap... kinda?

The downside to the Waggy is that it is a 6 bolt pattern I think. That mean mismatched rims or new axleshafts and redrilled drums out back.

You're the man CoryL, explain somehting to me, I don't want to change the rear axle, so a drill option could work, so what's involved in this mod?? how this should be done?? :(

Well, maybe if I change the t-case for a manual 1354, I could use the speedometer plug in there, but if not I will loose it if I change the rear axle...

And this Q's for Jason_25, Did already completed a manual T-case swap?? if so, How did you make it?? I really need this info, my t-case is failing, maybe i will change it, if I could go manual it would be really cool...

:D

It is my belief that coils are superior to leaf springs, especially off-road.

It really isn't possible to convert from a leaf spring setup to coils one part at a time, unless you were purchasing the parts and just waiting on them until you got them all.

Question is...

Do you spend a little more money, take a little more down time, and do it how you want it the first time?

OR

Fab spring hangers and shackles, figure out which leafs work best, get it setup, and then spend more money and time to convert it to coils?

I know what I would do!!!!

You would call Moser or whoever you choose to make new rear axleshafts, give them the specs and then would probably have to take your brake drum and drill out the new bolt pattern in them to fit over the new axleshafts with 6 lugs. That would be my guess as to how it would work.

Well, when you put it like that it makes more sense! I gotta finish my garage first then this winter (late) I am gonna start designing and compiling parts. get things good to go and maybe spring or summer I will be ready and I can do it with as little down time as possible. But my new garage is just aching for a challenge!:D Welp, off to a wedding in Louisville I go!

I just saw your other post on this fab work. Please let me know how it turns out, and how much time is necessary. Thanks for all the info. I've found my xfer case and tailhousing, along with the rear driveshaft. Now its up to axle location.
