I have been hearing from everyone I know that the Solo L7's are the best thing invented, and a few people have them. I listened to a 10" a couple nights ago, and they do hit incredibly hard, and sound quality seems to be ok. Not the best, but its ok. I was impressed with it. The only thing I dont like is the square shape. I think its ugly! I wouldnt really want to show that to somebody if I opened my back glass, I really like the round look much better. I havent really heard anything bad about them, except for how expensive they are and them crazy grilles can wear holes in the surrounds. What do you all think of them? Thanks for any input,

who the hell told you that!

they are decent middle of the road subs. they have pretty good spl, and ok sound quality (sq would be better if they were round). but there are plenty of subs that hit harder and sound better. they are far from the best subs invented. i'm not saying they are bad. like is said they are pretty good midline subs (but a little pricey for what you get). if you like them, get them. they are good subs. but if you dont like the looks, you can get other subs with similar or better performance for less $$.

The L7's design goes against every thing I've been taught about sound waves. I was under the impressino that they were round, but hey what do I know. Some will say that they have a larger surface area and can push more air. While that may be true I'd much rather have round subs that don't distort the sound wave, but hey that's just me.

Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. :)

Well just looking at them compared to a regular round sub, theres really not that much more sub there, but I suppose people are going to start trying triangular and oval shaped subs...

I dunno about you, but I'm happy with my brand new pretty Thunder 8000 :D

there are already triangular subs from bazooka check out www.bazooka.com i know they aren't the best for sound quality, but the install options would be pretty cool. what do you guys think about them?
