Ok now that I have replaced all front end components I can drive around with out any dramatic steering problems I have noticed that my EX doesnt seem to have much power, granted it has 160K on it but the motor doesnt leak any oil and seems to run good.

I noticed last night going up a steep hill that I had to keep my foot on the floor and it was going about 40 MPH and didnt want to rev any more just kinda stayed around 3500 RPM's and on the freeway I am almost at 3/4 throttle at 85 but if I need to pass it seems to go pretty good. Is it that its just got a lot of miles or could it be some thing else.

Have done all the tune up items a few months ago.

Did a search but didnt find anything, any ideas on where to start looking for an answer?

The gas pedal on my 96' is made out of plastic and riveted to the firewall.
mine broke off the firewall! ditto on the throttle cable check.
The v6 has a governor on there somewhere...

Just looked up the "ziptie mod" I am gonna check that out when I get home.

Wow

Ok I just did the zip tie mod, I checked it first butterfly only opened about 2/3's. there was about and inch of play in the cable so I used 1 large zip tie and one small.
WOW what a friggin difference it made it's like night and day! Better throttle response and so much more power I am afraid it gonna break the trans.
Came flying up the same hill at 60 no problem.
And the beautiful part it cost $0.00!
cant believe it was such a simple fix I was already trying to figure out where to buy some used cats and a TPS or worse yet find out I have really low compression in a few cylinders.
Thanx to the forum again.
