Some 4WD questions?

I want to do some offroading around my area. Its nothing too crazy, just some mud and few hills and stuff. Its not a trail were u will need anything modified to complete it (i've seen trackers make it trough no prob). I would just like to use my 4WD and actually use the Explorer to its full stock potential. Now my question is do i use 4WD high or low, do i use the 1st or second gear, or keep in in drive? Thanks for any replies

Which gear and 4x4 to use depends on terrain. I think everyone would have a different opinion on what to use. I like to use 2WD as much as possible. You really just have to experiment. I would also use 1st if the tranny is shifting too much.

Your stock exploder will surprise you with it's capabilities. Finding other 4x4 guys/gals in your area is a good idea too. I learned alot by riding and watching others.
