Some questions about my '91 Explorer XLT

So I did quite a bit of searching on the forums about my issues, and I'm a little confused (basically, I have zero knowledge of cars and yea). I'm pretty sure I more or less know the exact issue but as for fixing it, I'm a little lost (pictures would be amazing). I have 3 issues in total.

Issue 1 is probably the easiest: I was trying to change my transmission fluid and I was having trouble getting the oil pan off (or, what I think was the oil pan, after looking at pictures and etc). So my question is, how many bolts are there holding it on? (Or, if there is any "hidden" bolts that aren't around the, lip I guess? of the oil pan?)

Issue 2 has to do with my speedometer: Around posts 4 and 5 of this topic (http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14966) I'm pretty sure are my issues, but I'm a little confused about what they were talking about as far as fixing it goes. Like mostly I just don't know what the transfer case and transmission and stuff look like under the car (I get what they do, just not where they are) and I'm not sure what lubricating a cable is exactly (I mean, I have an idea but I'm not really positive) and nor do I know how to do that? So mostly I'm just confused about the locations of the stuff they were talking about, and like the gear with the pins and what not (like 18-21, etc). And how do you lubricate a cable and what cable are they talking about?

Issue 3 has to do with my power windows: I've talked to quite a few people about this, but mostly I'm just looking for a second opinion, and if you think they're right pictures on how you fix this. But basically I think it has to do with the regulators and the glass slips out of the track (major issues on drivers side front and rear windows) and a little with the other two. But the windows will all go up and down if you help them along and what not, and you can definitely hear the motors spinning and clicking in the door so it isn't a power issue (could be a bad motor though).

Sorry for the really long post (it's also my first post here so hey guys xD). Also sorry if some of these questions are like really obvious and what not, like I said I really don't know anything about cars at all (I changed the heater core in this truck, and that is the extent of what I've ever done to a car besides changing the engine oil). If you could answer any of the questions that would be awesome even if not all of them (all is preferred though ). And I really don't mind reading/watching stuff, and I apologize if the threads answered all of these questions exists and I missed but any links to threads/etc or just pictures/explanations here would be awesome.

If you are dropping the trans pan, you should have a new gasket and filter. If so, you can look at the gasket and see where the bolts go.

Driveshafts go from the transfer case to the differentials. So, follow a driveshaft to the center of the car and you will be at the transfer case.

if your having trouble with the windows falling off the tracks pull the door panel off. i believe there is a couple screws holding the panel on. after removing it look through the skin of the door where the track is. where the window guides sit in the track its usually held in by a bolt. the bolts over time ie 20 years the bolts work themselves free fall out break extra. hardware store parts store coffee can of misc bolts in the garage any bolt you can find that fit in there will work. Don't make them super tight because it is just plastic clips they will break.
