Approximately 4 times in the last year I have had a "shuddering" around 40-50 MPH under light acceleration. This has happened all 4 times soon after A4WD would have engaged, due to slippery pavement, and with a warmed up vehicle after 30 minutes of driving. It seems to correct itself after about 10 minutes.
It feels like 4WD is staying on after being activated. Shifting in and out of 4WD seems to make no difference. It just goes back normal after 10 minutes.
Anyone else have a similar problem? What was the cause/fix? Currently 50K miles and 4.5 years old.
