Hello again all,
this just started and it is intermittent. At Idle I hear a sound every once in while, it is not consistent or constant. It sounds like a wood block being struck (as in a block of hard wood used in an orchestra with a particular pitch to it). It is very faint when it does happen, any noise other than the engine at idle and I can't hear it, this includes reving the engine. I need to do the 00m12 recall on the EX when I get frisky, but could this be the tensioners going?
I have the SOHC and it has 139000 miles, everything if still factory equipment. I have only replaced normal routine maintenance items, and 1 wheel, and 1 window motor. The engine is factory (never been opened).
It runs fine and I have no fears of driving it, I just am paranoid about the guides and tensioners.
Any Ideas?
could it be anything else?
David
