Sound from the front

Ok I have this weird scratch, squeaky noise coming from both wheels. It started on the left side but them spread to the right side. I thought it might be the brakes, like a warped rotor but now that it's on both sides I have ruled that out. Does anyone think this could be my CV joints?

why was the rotor ruled out? i would have the wheels removed or at least look into through the wheels with the flashlight to look at the condition of the rotors pads.... some brake pads screech the wear sensor versus making them squeal....
