Inconsistent popping sound from the front end.

The popping sounds are coming from the front end when I back up, back up turning, or take off from a back up turn.. doesn't do it all the time..yet,,
Can anyone help me before this get tooo serious!?!?!

You can also check the "tie rod lock nuts" that hold the tie rod adjustment in place. I had one come loose and I heard a clunking noise when turning the wheel. You need 2 wrenches to tighten them up if that is the problem, pretty simple to do. The locking nut gets tightened up against the end of the tie rod. If you can't check these things yourself, take it to a wheel alignment shop you trust (keyword is trust) and they usually do a free inspection and they could tell you where it is coming from.
