I'm trying to decipher a sound coming from my front end. When I go over bumps fast enough and compress the front suspension enough, I hear a sound akin to throwing something against the aluminum sides of an elevator? Or in movies when someone is crawling through a ventilation shaft and it makes that clanging sound. that's really the best I can describe it.

I think it's the shocks but I'm not sure. I looked under my front end and nothing seems to be banging against anything else.

I have 2" skyjacker springs up front and rancho RS5000s set up for 2" of lift.

Any ideas?

have you checked radius arm bushings theyre pretty common

yea i second the bushings tip. i had to change mine from a similar noise going over bumps

Check the radius arm bushings. If they're worn out, the radius arm will shift under load and smack the mount and make a "bong" sound... (like a bell... not a weed pipe...:D)
