Hi peoples, i just changed the spark plugs on my 99 sport and now when i go to start it, it starts to turn over and then the alarm goes crazy on then nothing happens. Anyone have this problem before? Im use to working on old school toyota cars. This thing is spacey to me haha. Thanks in advance!

I'm thinking bad battery or bad battery cables. Alarms tend to do weird things when the voltage is too low. I think that when you try to start your truck, the voitage is getting pulled way down which is causing the alarm issue.

That's a darn good suggestion. Did you listen to the car radio the whole time you were changing plugs? Leave a light on, etc?

Wow. As dumb as it makes me feel. You are correct. I was only out there for 20- 30 minutes listening to an ipod. What left me dumbfounded was that the truck had worked until i changed the plugs and unbeknown to me the battery had failed during my change. haha Thanks for your replies. Now i have to fix the darn PO174 and PO171 codes. Getting crap gas mileage.:salute:
