I want to replace my front door speakers asap. Problem, when looking through the Crutchfield catalog, it likts many 6 x 8 speakers and says that they will NOT fot the front doors of my 99.

Whats the deal?

What speaker WILL fit with no problems?

Suggestions wanted asap.

Thanks.....

Which 6x8s are you getting? Polk DX7s will fit with no problem.

I want the DX7s.

Why does Crutchfield, emphatically say they will not fit?

you can fit 6x8's or 5x7's all around. th speakers are essentially the same size

The diameter is not in question, its the height.

After writing Crutchfield for an explanation, I got the e mail just now:

>>As for your question about the Polk DX7 speakers, unfortunately, the
mounting height is about ¼" too tall. This would prevent the door panel
from re-installing correctly.

A nice choice for you would be the Polk EX572A speakers. They are a nice
full sounding speaker that will perform well without having to use an
external amplifier and even better with one.<<

Can I or can I not use these speakers...HELP

Thanks....
