Speaker Problem

I noticed that the sound in my X had changed a little bit, then i realized that It wasnt as loud out of the driver's door speaker. i then played around with the balance and fade and put it so that it all should be coming out of that speaker. Then I switched it to the passenger side and It was a lot louder than the driver side. Does anybody have an idea on whats going on? I don't know a think about car audio. It is the stock unit and speakers. Thanks

My guess is it's time for new speakers. You can go to Walmart and get Jensen 3 way 6x8s that are far superior to your stockers for about $40 a pair. Swapping each takes about a half hour for a newb.

Is there a detailed thread anywhere?? Does it require taking the door panel off or do they just pop out?? I am pretty handy, however not really in the mechanical sense.

Yes there is a detailed post (thread) somewhere in here but i don't recall where (perhaps look in the list of useful threads). Anyhow, you have to take off the door panel but it is really easy... Believe me if I did it anyone can do it... I'm just plain ignorant
