My speedo on my 04 explorer stopped working. Right now it shows its doing 140mph when its parked. It doesnt move from there at all. Is there a easy fix for this or is it a mayjor issue? Also on my gear selecter it doesnt move from the drive position. Any suggestions on how to fix that as well. I have already put a new speed sensor in the vehicle too

If you follow the cable from the cluster (where the drive selector needle is) you'll end up at a white plastic connector. This connector sometimes breaks. Replacement is fairly cheap though most use a zip tie.
There is a thread on it, but I can't locate it specifically. It had pictures of the connector.

Now, my 05 acts up sometimes where the needle doesn't correspond with the gear and my connector isn't broken. In my case and possibly yours, it's something else. Haven't looked into it more beyond the possible connector issue yet myself. Mine goes into each gear as it should.

Can't help you on the speedo.
