When I put on my 31's I was told that my speedo would be approx 5-6 miles an hour off at 60mph. I was pulled over the other day (given just a warning ya gotta love it) anyway I was going 70mph according to my speedo and he said he clocked me at 70mph. I thought I was going like 77mph when I came up on him and didn't slow down thinking if he saw brake lights I was done. How can this be??

the speedo isnt always set to real time from the factory..... there is normally about a 10 mph buffer zone that they allow

Most stock speedos of all vehicles read about 2-4 mph over actual speed. Your 31s probably slowed yours down just enough to be almost dead accurate.

The sherriffs setup this radar thingy display on the side of the road telling you how fast you're going. I pass by there a few times and it showed that my truck actually goes 2-3 mph slower than what my speedo say. Weird huh?

Mines usually 3-4mph slower

Mine is right on - or so says the GPS
