Has anyone taken there speedometer cable and and greased it??
Our needles has started to jump around, so I think it just need to be cleaned and regreased.
Can you just take it apart underneath?

I had my gauges out a while back, and while I was in there I greased my speedometer cable. Mine jumped around a bit at certain speeds, but not bad. Mine has worked smoothly since I greased it. They make a lube for it, but I just used some magneto grease I had. It also gave me a chance to remove the clear plastic over the gauges to clean out the dirt and stuff that accumulated over the years.

I replaced my speedo head a little while back, and after I did the needle jumps around. I always thought it was because I jerry-(or should i say "chris")rigged the cable intop the tranny since I bent the pin. I'll try lubing it up, but where do I put the lube?

Thanks
Chris
