Ok guys after my 45 min drive home from work i get into town and hit the first stop light i wait and when i press the accelerater my engine starts to speed up and then down until about 20mph. It feels like i might have a clogged fuel filter, bad gas, or a crappy injector but im not sure if one injector would cause the issue. Does anyone have any other ideas? Ohh and there are no engine codes

If you do have a 2000 Explorer,

then your issues tend to be with fuel pressure and volume[or lack thereof] and cleanliness of the fuel being pumped to the injectors...

Your truck has a fuel pressure regulator in the tank... You really should replace the fuel filter and then test the fuel pressure after you replace the fuel filter...After pulling the filter check the inlet into the filter and see what the fuel looks like...Hopefully it will not look like coffee...The rust and dirt in the fuel system will block up the filter over time...

The fuel pressure should be 65 psi +/- 7 psi...And it should not vary at all... If the pressure drops, the pump is probably on the way out and if the tank has any rust or dirt in it cleaning/coating/replacing should be in the near future to prevent this problem again...

This is what a rusty tank looks like on the inside...

well i tried to replace my filter tonight with no luck dang thingn wont come off and i replaced it once a few years back and dont remember it being that hard. So i resorted to doing SeaFoam in the fuel tank and also did a Seafoam treatment through my break booster line hope this might help my issue. In any case im done for the night hope this thing will get me to work and back which is ruffly 1.5 hours round trip
