When i go to turn on the heater in the morning i get a real bad sqealing sound,if i turn it off and on three or four times it stops.any ideas.thanks alot Brad in Iowa

Your squealing heater

:hammer: Typically, the squealing comes from a bearing on the heater fan motor. Usually the problem is worse when cold than warm.Three things you can do:Change out the fan motor completely,Change out the bearings, or dissasseble, clean and lube with white lithium grease. I've also done the turn-on-and-off thing repeatedly for up to a year, but eventually the motor stalls and I see smoke come from the wiring under the dash(remember that the fan motor has a heavy fuse). I had one vehicle burn all the wiring under the dash! Hope this helps you.

thanks alot i Bought a new fan motor of ebay for 20 bucks I am going to put it in tommorow. Thanks alot for the reply.Brad in Iowa
