Ok i know this could be allot of things. But i have a squeak in my front end.it happens when i turn the wheel and when i go over bumps.I am assuming it has to do with the whole up and down motione on the front end.I am really just wondering if anyone here has had this problem.and what most of you have found.Every time i have a problem and I look on here I go with what the majority has of you have found with yours and that has been the problem every time.so i thought i would try it again..thanks for any help you can offer.

Usually when I have a squeek in the front end, it usually winds up being the sway bar. I just spray it all down with some liquid wrench, or similar. Might try that, since that is a common squeek. Could also be your torsion bars.

Sounds like a ball joint, thats what I had problems with (twice now, actually). Try to spray it down first with wd40 or liquid wrench. You can puncture a small hole in the ball joint covering and load it with wd40 (spray it in until it starts spewing back out) and let it work in for a day or two worth of driving. A ford tech did that to my bottom ball joints and the squeek went away. Make sure thats the problem before you go putting holes in the covering though. :)

WD40 is NOT a lubricant, it's more of a cleaner. If you put it in your ball joints :( it could be doing more harm then good. It will mix with the grease already in there and make it less effective. The reason the sqeek comes back in a day or too is because the WD40 evaporates and is no longer there.

Yes granted WD40 seems to get rid of squeeks, but it is only temporary. I use it to put grips on my dirtbike handle bars. when they first go on they won't stop spinning. The next day I can't get them off.

Just my two bits worth on the stuff :chug:

it is the sway bar bushings.i sprayed them down with lithium grease.took care of the squeak.i ordered some new ones so hopefully i will put them on next weekend.

so i have a really old explorer been squeekin awhile tried first to use heavy lube ang grease needle for ball joints then tried it with bushings now i'm just gonna replace the whole front end for what i'm spendin on it i could've put a dwn payment on something new ha ha
