I have a 2000 XLT V8 AWD. I started hearing a squeal (Mid pitch) that was coming from the passenger side front wheel when I made right turns above 10-15 mph. It only happens when I turn right not left or going strait. It didn't make sense to me since the weight was being transfered off of that wheel, but it sounded like the bearings were on there way out. I put new pads on both sides(even though the old ones had about 25,000 left on them) but it didn't solve the problem. I then decide to just bite the bullet and replace the right bearing assembly. I noticed that there was water inside where the inner bearing was and the grease was milky. Cleaned out all the grease and re packed the area. Put it all back together and on the drive home I didn't hear any squeal and the front end was quieter than it was before. But the next day I made a right turn and herd the squeal again but it wasn't as bad, It also takes a more agressive turn to make the noise, and doesn't happen every time.
Anyone got any ideas?
