I have a '95 Explorer Sport and have had no major problems yet...knock on wood. Anyway, the truck squeaks going over bumps, turning corners and basically driving! Is it the shocks or struts? Does this truck have struts? Are they (shocks) easy to change? Is it the "bushings"? Not sure what they are but someone said it could be them. Don't want to take it to a mechanic because there is always other things they find "wrong" that have to be fixed. So why does this truck squeak like an old Winnebago? It's very embarrassing. I have about 180,000 miles on it. Thanks for any help!

Sounds like ball joints to me. Check the link in my signature.

On mine it was the shocks with a minor squeak due to a slightly loose upper control arm. If the ball joints are still good they provably need grease.

I'm guessing your front anti-sway bar is the culprit. You can try some white lithium greese or even some WD40 as a temporary solution.
