Mountaineer has 220K on it and it seems to be stuck in 4 wheel it does not have a switch it is automatic 4 wheel as a result it grabs like my old truck in 4wheel drieve on dry pavement. that has been going on for a while now and now it bangs or clunks when starting out and turning. it feels almost tight when backing up. I have asked a few ford guys and get a different answer each time. My old Arostar van with all wheel drive had sencers that would fail and did the same thing but I was told that this does not have them and I can not find them either. I have changed the axels but that did not stop the banging when starting out and turning from a stop or making a tight turn while going slow. Any help would be great. Thanks
