Squeeeeeek!

I just installed the WAR153 Shackles on my MM and now I am getting some sort of squeeking noise. Sounds like it is coming from the springs but it could also be from the sway bar bushings. I don't know what it is but it is annoying. Will it go away?

I had the same problem with mine a few days after I installed the shackles.

There was some talk in the past on this site concerning the bolts sent with the Warrior shackle kit being too small in diameter for the drill holes on the shackles, thus creating some movement or play and of course also a squeaky noise.

I thought that may be the problem which would be solved by calling Warrior to get new bolts. But, before I did that I re-read the instructions sheet that came with the shackles which said to tighten the bolts after taking for a test drive. So I tightened them up (they were a bit loose I found out) and no squeak for 2 months now.

Give it a try.

Thanks for the reply. I will try and tighten them up to 30lbs but I seriously think that the springs are squeeking. would that help the springs?

If the shackle tightening doesn't work (I think it will) then it could be the bushings like you said. Then you could replace those or grease them.
