Have a 86 Ranger 2.9L, everytime I put it in Park or Neutral it does a slow stall and dies from 1000rpm. I cleaned the IAC, was clean no carbon build up but cleaned it anyways, had the issue before the clean and have the issue after the clean. Could the IAC be bad, if you start it back up in park it idles fine, but doesnt idle up or down, just idles around 1000rpm.
