Stalled when in Reverse

this morning I got up and started my 93 X Xlt, it started quick and effortlessly. I put it in reverse to back out and it stalled...

I just put in some Mercon V Trans fluid yesterday maybe I put in to much?

When I checked it (while running) the stick read a little over full but I figured it couldn't hurt. I know its not a GOOD thing to do but I didnt have the tools to drain it at the time. Does this sound like a reasonable explanation for the stall? First time it happened but she runs good 118k miles

Welcome to this forum! If it's a little overfilled, it shouldn't make it stall. Mercon V is the wrong fluid for the A4LD. You should use Mercon III. How much did you put in?
