I just repaired a few other issues with my truck and now this. I installed the 8 new ignition coils that took care of that problem and I parked the truck. I decided I better take it for a ride to make sure everything was good and it was. this morning I went to start the truck and noticed that it cranked slow on the initial crank then spun normally. I left the truck and tonight when i got home i started it with the light on, the radio on, and the A/C on. Same thing...A slow first crank then would crank and then the engine starts. It does crank longer than normal to start too. this could be due to low voltage while cranking. I also hear clicking under the dash when the key is turned that i never heard before. The front airbag light was on too which is new. Tonight that light is out.
The current battery is a Sears DieHard Gold and about 3 years old.
I am hoping that the battery is bad again, but not sure.

When the truck was new the battery was bad an replaced under warranty at the time. The instruments were going crazy and the tech said it was due to the bad battery.
Could it be happening again? I will change the battery and hope for the best.
Any ideas?

* I load tested the charging system and it charged with no issues.

Load test the battery, if it is pooched get it changed because a low battery will tax the Alternator and cause it to fail prematurely, and that is a little more pricey then a battery. If it tests okay I would probably start looking at the ignition system.

At Sears now getting it load tested . The battery is 3 years old so it stands to deason it. Ould be the culprit. Warranty is 3 years too which is lucky for me. I did not detect any draws on the on the battery when the key is off. Except the normal stuff like radio etc. Hoping for a battery on the way out. Thanks.

Update*
Bad battery!
