Two days ago I drove my stock 94 Explorer to lunch, after lunch when I hit the key all I had was click. Checked no lights left on or anything. Had a guy jump me off and it cranked right up. Drove it back to the office, (12 miles) shut engine off tried to crank it right away after shutting off and nothing but click. Jumped the truck before I headed home once again cranked right up. Put the battery charger on the truck it charged all the way up, but still would not crank.
Hooked a volt meter to the battery. Showed 13.5 Volts
Had someone turn key on not crank battery voltage dropped to 8 volts. In crank position the battery dropped to almost 0 volts. Shut the key off and battery voltage went back to around 13 volts.
Not sure what to look for here, did check the battery connections.
