2005 explorer
hey guys I have a 2005 explorer limited with a 4.0 with 130,000 miles and when I start it in the morning it does just fine but lets say I drive for 20 or 30 minutes and go into a store and shut it off when I come back out and start it the rpm's will drop to like 200 or 300 for a few seconds and there is no throttle response till it smoothes out which usually takes a few seconds and everything goes back to normal . now I don't want to just start throwing parts at it but I would like to get anyone's opinion on this problem and yes it has the original transmission and timing chains and guides . and yes I know it wont be long before its time to change both but this has been such a reliable car I want to run it till it quits and so far this is the only problem I've had .
