Starting Problem

Hey there just have a small problem that only occurs sometimes. I will start my truck with my starter with no issues, then I jump in forgetting to turn the key hit the brake and the truck shuts off as it should. But the problem being after I try to start it up again with the key it does not want to start. After waiting a few mins it fires up again no prob. I have tried using the starter again but it still does not go. I was thinking it might be my fuel pump, any ideas?

Do you hear the fuel pump prime? Do you have a factory alarm system with a starter/ignition kill?

I do hear the fuel pump, and I do have a factory alarm, not sure if there is the starter engine kill..
