This has happen twice now. The first time it was cold overnight, around freezing, I had 1/4 tank of gas, I remote start, the remote start failed.
I go out to the truck put the key in and turn the key, it wont turnover. I repeat the process about 5 times and it still would not start. It only started when I put my foot on the gas. It was a slow start with little hesitation and everything works fine for the next 6 days. (Btw at the time I tried starting the first time the temperture had gone back up to about 42 degrees).
Then it happens again this morning, 3/4 tank of gas and it was very cold. About 35
What should I look for?
I am thinking that if it were the alarm then stepping on the gas would not help to start the truck.

Any help
Thanks.

Do a search for 00M12. That's what it sounds like to me.

I have a V8 and from what I read the 00m12 code has to do with the timing chain and the intake gasket on the V6.

I think it could be the Iac but so far I dont have many of the symptoms that the other guys been having. I dont hear a noise and after the one tap on the gas everything ones smooth(it never stalled nor surge).

Could it be a fuel pressure thing, old battery, or a dirty gas filter? Or even a line freeze from cheepo Hess gas
