my 96 4x4xlt is driving me nuts.it just recently started to give me problems when accelerating to highway speed (60 or so) she starts to buck around 50 not letting me go any faster than that.this has been going on for a month now and none of the butcher mechanics around me no what this is.once and a while it wont do it at all.please help :banghead:

sounds like maybe your O/D is going out in your tranny? mine did that too....still does...i just dotn take it over 45mph....

Is there a MIL light? Lack of power above 2000 rpm is sometimes a MAF issue. You might try cleaning the MAF, and check the MAF connector. Unplug it, spray the connectors with WD-40, and replug.

thanks for your suggestions.I changed the vehicle speed sensor and got rid of the problem.
