static on am radio when engine is running

1 hace an 01 explorer sport . surely the factory plugs a re resistor plugs right? could I have a bad ground or something. need help gotta hear sports talk on am dial.

The ground for the antenna might be shot....try tracing the antenna cable, and make sure it has not chafed or something....
