I have a 98 EB. The turn signals stop worknig when I adjust the steering column up or down. I was going to take the covers off the column to see if there are some dirty contacts someplace. I was wondering if I could accidently trigger the air bag? I don't want to do that.
Thanks,
Pete :us:

Disconnect the battery and wait 5 minutes if you are worried. Waiting will discharge any capacitors in the vehicle that could yeild enough voltage to cause a deployment. That's only if you're worried, I take air bags in and out all the time, and I don't even disconnect the battery.

I would do as said, just disconnect the air bag and wait a few minutes. be free of static too ;) j/k
