Hey guys.

Help me out with this one. My steering gear box is getting alot of play in it. No surprise, since it has 215k miles on it. I'm looking for something better than original, since I'm going to be locking the front diff and running alittle bit larger tire. I'm thinking of running 33x12.50s on it very soon, and want to tighten it up some more. I already tried adjusting the preload on the box, it helped but not enough. I know these trucks were kinda loose, but I'm thinking we can do better. Anybody have some suggestions?

I found a company called AGR that offer upgraded pumps and boxes for several makes/models. Has anyone used any of their stuff?

I don't know if this will help you, but all kinds of f-150's, f-250's, ford vans, our explorers, etc. all use the same steering box. I've seen some pretty huge f-150's and such.

tbars has a thread here about the agr upgrade
