Okay, I've got a stumper for ya! My steering shaft is loose. I've got the extension in from my body lift, but there is a bearing and houseing near the firewall. The bearing is not even in the houseing! I don't know what it takes to fix, but this problem gets worse! Some how, my power steering pump is going....I think. I've got leaking from the pump area, but I don't know if it's the pump, or some hose into it or not...This isn't my most knowledgeable area. When I turn, no matter how sharp or light the turn is, it makes the sound like my steering is locked, and the pump is making the loud hum. So, now who can help me?
Any help or ideas is needed/welcome!
Thanks,
Pete
Oh yeah, this problem also kept me from running the Illinois Attica Turkey run this weekend too! :(

check the steering box for the leak. This is where leaks typically start at in the steering. The hum sound is the pump working with too little fluid. If you run the steering with not enough fluid for too long, you will most assurely blow the pump.
