Hi everyone....ok another request because I still have the same prob this morning...last week got the upper and lower ball joint change...before that my steering wheel was a bit hard to turn....but always...just in sequences..feels hard and then ok when turning.. I thought that by changing my ball joints it would be ok..the ball joints were cracking and squeeking so had no choice... anybody had this prob before ? now no more cracking but my steering still feels a bit hard to turn...but like I said not always...let me explain...when on a corner the first turn of the steering are hard and then ok..seems to be in sequences..

thanks

Sounds like the steering rack is going out.
Happened to me at 90,000mi. on the 96X.
Try some Lucas rack conditioner. It may prolong the need for a new rack. Helped me for appx a year before I finally changed it.

is this expensive ? the steering rack ?

Bill describe what you did please..
