I have a 97 V8 Mountaineer and wanted to know if the cruise control buttons on both sides of the wheel light up when the lights are on? The on/off buttons on the left side are on but dim, and since I got the vehicle the set/resume/coast buttons on the right side of the wheel have been totally dark.

If they are supposed to light up, what is the best way to get to the bulb that I'm assuming is used for lighting. I just replaced all the dash panel lights and am working on getting everything inside the truck working that should be.

they light up. if you take them off the steering wheel, you have to pry the top off (the part with the lettering) from the bottoms with a small screw driver. inside, you will see the circuit board with the light on it. you wont be able to buy a light for them anymore (i think). if you replace them with a L.E.D. bulb and resister, it will be a light brighter.
