Hey guys, got pissed off today and punched the ford logo on my steering wheel instead of getting out and punching someones head...big mistake, I damaged the horn switch under the logo and it started blowing and wouldn't shut off. I pulled the fuse and got silence then went and talked to my mechanic who said I have to replace the face of the steering wheel. I'm ok with that, but haven't been able to find one online. Can anyone supply me maybe a part number or the correct term for the face? Thanks

its the whole airbag assembly.
This much is true, the "face" is the airbag assembly. What you'll want to do first is remove the assembly and check to see exactly what was damaged behind the airbag assembly, and then go from there. You may have just unseated the horn spring, in which case simply reassembling the steering wheel after removing the airbag could fix your problem (been there myself). Good luck!

Thank you sir, I will try abs dissect it tomorrow. Will let you know what happens.

OK, took it apart, pretty easy. Its a round plastic encased disk. I gave it a good dent with the punch. I tried to return it to the original flat shape & put it back together. It now works ok, not great but ok. Next time the local junk yard gets an ex in I'll replace it and it will be good as new. Thanks all for your help.
